The standard activity monitoring module in AfiMilk herd management software, combined with pedometers, counts daily animal movements and steps. This function detects heat signs, as estrus significantly increases activity levels.
Data is transmitted to the AfiMilk system via high-frequency individual antennas installed in milking stalls.
Usage & Operation:
Each breeding animal wears an electronic tag (pedometer) that:
- Identifies the animal in the system
- Measures lying time and frequency
